Founding Filthy Fox Auction Club

Founding the Filthy Fox Auction club was one of the most challenging but rewarding experiences of my life. We faced numerous issues along the way, from broken artworks to running out of time, money and energy. Despite these challenges, we persevered and managed to create a thriving community of artists and art buyers.

Managing a gallery can be an incredibly unsexy business. It involves a lot of behind-the-scenes work, such as dealing with logistics, marketing, and applying for funding. We quickly learned that running an auction club was not just about setting up unique events but also about ensuring that everything ran smoothly, from the artwork’s transport to the storage, insurance, and authentication of each piece.

One of the most rewarding aspects of the experience was seeing the community we had created. We met so many talented artists and were able to connect them with art enthusiasts who appreciated their work. Our auction events became a hub for artists and art buyers to connect.

The feedback we received from both artists and buyers was overwhelming. It was gratifying to see people appreciate the hard work we had put in to make our events successful. Watching the excitement and energy in the room during the auction was an incredible feeling, knowing that we had created something that brought joy and fun to people’s lives.

Overall, founding the Filthy Fox Auction club was a challenging but fulfilling experience. We encountered many difficulties along the way, but we learned to overcome them and create a thriving community of artists and art buyers. The feedback we received from our community made all the hard work worthwhile, and we are proud of the legacy we created.
